The latest FIFA global monthly ranking for October, 2013 has projected Nigerian Super Eagles to 33rd position in the World.
According to the October FIFA calibration, Nigeria has moved three spaces to leap to 33rd after being ranked 36th in September.
The ranking represents a significant upliftment for the African champions, who dropped one place to number 36 in the September FIFA rankings.
In the rankings released today, Ivory Coast still occupy top spot in Africa, 17th in the World, while Ghana is ranked 23rd, Algeria 32nd while Mali is ranked 41 to complete the top five counties from the continent.
The top five countries in the world for October in ascending order are; Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Belgium.
