The agent of Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne has revealed the player may be interested in making a switch to Wolfsburg in January.
Wolfsburg confirmed their interest in De Bruyne earlier in the week when general manager Klaus Allofs revealed they made an enquiry to Chelsea over the summer.
Since then, De Bruyne, who scored 10 goals in 33 games in the Bundesliga while on loan at Werder Bremen last season, has made just two starts and has not been influential under Jose Mourinho in the Premier League.
It is thought that the Belgian winger is looking for first-team football ahead of the World Cup in Brazil next year, after his country qualified for the tournament with a win over Croatia on Friday.
And De Bruyne’s agent hinted his client may be interested in a return to German football, this time with Wolfsburg, when the transfer window re-opens.
He told WAZ: “If Kevin has to find a club in January, we will then talk to Klaus Allofs.”
