Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of striker Edinson Cavani from Napoli for £54 million.
The 26-year-old has been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid following his impressive goal scoring form in the Serie A in the past three seasons.
However, neither club was prepared to meet his buy-out clause of £54m, a figure which did not prove problematic for the French outfit, who have handed the forward the number nine shirt.
The Uruguayan arrived in France on Monday, before eventually signing a reported five-year deal at his new club on Tuesday.
Cavani, who joined Napoli from Palermo in 2010, scored a total of 104 goals in 138 games.
