Pedrag Mijatovic believes Real Madrid will regret letting Gonazalo Higuain move to Napoli.
Napoli secured the services of the Argentine attacker last week for a fee in the range of €37 million.
Mijatovic who spent three years at the Santiago Bernabeu says Madrid will find it difficult to replace Higuain and even a player that can maintain his goal scoring form.
“When Real Madrid purchased Higuain he was seen as a kid with great talent. He was settled in Spain and did well in Spanish football”, Mijatovic told Cadena COPE.
“He was key to winning the league title under (Fabio) Capello and has grown a lot at Madrid.
“It is not easy to find a player that scores 25-30 goals a season.”
Higuain is the second Madrid player moving to the Stadio Sao Paolo as he joins former team-mate Jose Callejon in Napoli.
Reina and Higuain were presented to supporters for the first time on Monday since they arrived at the club.
