Christian Maggio is hopeful of convincing Uruguayan Edinson Cavani to stay at the Naples for another season despite interest from Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has declared Cavani will not be sold for anything less than €63 million. But the striker has hinted earlier this week that he doesn’t worth €63 million and has demanded face-to-face talks with the club president once he returns from his holiday after the Confederations Cup.
But Maggio is willing to persuade the attacker to stay at Napoli.
“Cavani and I have a very good relationship, I will try and convince him to stay.” Maggio told La Gazzetta.
The 24-year-old Uruguayan has scored 78 goals in 104 appearances for the Italian club.
